At the annual congress of the European Accounting Association (EAA) in Lisbon Niels van Nieuw Amerongen gave a presentation based on his recently completed dissertation entitled “Auditor’s Performance in Risk and Control Judgments”.

A medium-sized audit firm with which Solutional has an existing contract has now engaged us to provide the following additional services:
- Quality reviews of audit files
- Advice on audit issues
- Support at audit technical meetings for its personnel.
Solutional expands portfolio1 March 2007
We are proud to be able to announce that Dr. C.M. (Niels) van Nieuw Amerongen RA has joined Solutional. Niels will focus primarily on the assurance related services offered by Solutional Assurance Services. These include support for audit firms and internal audit departments in resolving audit-technical problems, carrying out reviews of audit files and executing general and specific tasks to prepare companies for audits. The assurance related services are provided by the newly formed Solutional Assurance Services.
With the arrival of Niels our portfolio has expanded to include an interim project relating to Sarbanes-Oxley for a major multinational oil company and a contract to provide technical support to a medium-sized audit firm.
